New Mitsubishi Pajero Sports officially commenced its sojourn in Nigeria on Friday courtesy Massilia Motors, sole distributor of Mitsubishi Motors in Nigeria.
Unveiling the new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) at a virtual ceremony in Lagos, the management of Massilia Motors also pledged to retain its workforce despite challenges associated with Covid-19 across the world.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director/Country Delegate CFAO Nigeria, Thomas Pelletier said: “We have decided to take the heat”.
According to Pelletier, the company has put various modalities in place to protect staff, customers and vendors.
Making reference to the lockdown period, Pelletier said the company donated food items to 1,000 households at Ijora in Lagos State.
He described the 3 liter V6 Mitsubishi Pajero Sports as a rugged, reliable and comfortable SUV.
In his submission, General Manager, sales, Tunji Itiola said the 2020 Mitsubishi Pajero Sports SUV boast of more torque, luxury and performance.
According to Itiola, the new Pajero Sports SUV is enhanced with seven seats, up-to-date navigational attributes, sensor technology, among others.
Itiola also disclosed that the company has commenced negotiations for new dealers as part of measures to expand network across Nigeria.
Head of Marketing and Communication, Funmi Abiola, described Mitsubishi as customer-centric brand, adding that we (Massilia Motors) enable our customers reach their ambitions”.

The board of Mitsubishi recently in Japan stopped the production of Pajero Sports SUV. However, a source who spoke with City Business News in Lagos on Friday explained that the development will not have any negative effect on the brand as spare parts are still available.
