Mercedes-Benz family has achieved the milestone of producing fifty million vehicles globally.
The foremost auto firm explained at the weekend that the fifty millionth car produced is the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
According to the company, the high-tech production facility at Factory 56 (future of production) of Mercedes will produce luxury sedans, S-Class and in future, the EQS.
Explaining further, the auto firm said Factory 56 is a successful combination of flexibility, efficiency, digitalization, and sustainability.
Vehicles with different drive types already roll off the same production line. During this the production methods and processes are continually being further developed and digitalized, the German carmaker added.
Jörg Burzer, member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz AG, Production and Supply Chain commented, “Mercedes-Benz has always been synonymous with luxury. That is why I’m very proud of this very special production anniversary: Fifty million vehicles produced is a significant milestone in the history of our company, and exceptional achievement by the team.
