The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) has officially launched its Service Charter, marking a significant milestone in its drive to enhance service excellence, transparency, and accountability across Nigeria’s automotive ecosystem.
According to NADDC, the launch, which took place on Friday, 6 February 2026, underscores alignment with the Federal Government’s public service reform agenda and its commitment to delivering efficient, customer-focused services to stakeholders.
The Service Charter clearly outlines the Council’s mandate, service standards, timelines, quality benchmarks, and feedback mechanisms for key stakeholders, including automotive manufacturers, investors, institutions, and the general public. It is designed to provide clarity on what stakeholders should expect from NADDC and how the Council can be held accountable for service delivery.
Implemented under the supervision of the SERVICOM Office and aligned with SERVICOM principles, the initiative reflects NADDC’s resolve to institutionalise a performance-driven culture anchored on responsiveness, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General of NADDC, Otunba Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, commended the dedication of the Council’s staff, the support of its parent ministry, and the guidance of the SERVICOM Office in bringing the Charter to fruition. He reaffirmed NADDC’s mandate to drive the growth and sustainable development of Nigeria’s automotive industry through impactful programmes and responsive service delivery.
Also speaking, the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Dr. Dasuki Arabi, congratulated NADDC on the launch, describing the Service Charter as a transformative document that strengthens fair service standards, performance benchmarks, and accountability mechanisms within the Council.
The event attracted key stakeholders, including representatives of the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), and the National Coordinator of SERVICOM, Mrs. Helen Lawal, among others.
The launch of the Service Charter is expected to further boost stakeholder confidence in NADDC’s operations and reinforce its role as a catalyst for the sustainable development of Nigeria’s automotive industry.
