Speaking at the meeting with Bosch Group Africa at NADDC Headquarters, Thursday, 15th February, 2024, the Director General, NADDC Mr Joseph Osanipin expressed Council’s eagerness to collaborate with the Group especially in the area of components manufacturing and after sales services, given the fact that Nigeria has the highest after sales market in Africa.

Osanipin also stated that the Council is working tirelessly to ensure legislation of the Nigeria Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP), which would in turn create the much desired enabling environment for automotive industry in Nigeria to thrive.

“we want the NAIDP to work and we  are working towards that, as we are working towards making it a legislation instead of just a policy”.

In the same vein,  the President of Bosch Group Africa, Mr. Marcus Thill affirmed that passage of the auto policy into law would go a long way to boost the confidence of major investors into the Nigeria Automotive market, adding that Nigeria as the biggest country in sub-saharan Africa needs to operate a legislated auto policy in order to move the industry foward.
