Members of the House of Representatives Committee on Delegated Legislation has expressed readiness to synergize with the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) to further propel the development of the Nigeria Automotive Industry.
This was disclosed during the Committee’s familiarization visit to the Council on Thursday, 17th October, 2024.
The visit was aimed at obtaining first hand information about the activities of the NADDC particularly with regards to subsidiary legislations made by the Council.
During the meeting, the NADDC Director General, Mr. Joseph Osanipin gave an overview of the Council’s mandates, the achievements and challenges while requesting for the support of the Committee on legislation of NADDC acts to enable the Council achieve it’s mandates.
Responding, the Vice Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Engr. Dominic Okafor who representated the Chairman applauded the Director General for his commitment to the progress of the industry. He also expressed the Committee’s eagerness to partner with Council in promoting the auto industry.
The engagement created an ample opportunity for the Hon. Members to observe the operational practices of the Council and it’s challenges, while strategizing to fast tract the implementation of Council’s subsidiary legislations.
