The Chairman, Board of Directors of NAHCO Plc, Dr. Seinde Oladapo Fadeni, has been honoured with the prestigious Nigerian Aviation Centenary Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the aviation industry.
The award, held on Monday, December 1, 2025, was organised by the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development in collaboration with the Aviation Roundtable as part of activities marking 100 years of aviation in Nigeria.
City Business News reports that the ceremony took place at the African Hall of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference (BATIC) Centre in Abuja.
Dr. Fadeni, a respected aviation veteran and industry leader, was represented at the event by the Group Managing Director/CEO of NAHCO Plc, Mr. Olumuyiwa Olumekun, who received the award on his behalf.
In the nomination letter issued to Dr. Fadeni, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), praised the NAHCO Chairman’s longstanding service and influence across the sector, stating that his contributions “reflect the spirit of resilience and commitment that has propelled the industry from its earliest beginnings to the modern era.”
The Centenary Award forms part of the Federal Government’s efforts to honour individuals and institutions whose work has shaped Nigeria’s aviation journey over the past century.
