As part of the Capacity Development Initiative (CDI) under the support of Seplat Energy Plc for the NOGAPS Odukpani Gas Generator Project, officials of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and Seplat personnel conducted a joint inspection visit to assess progress on the project.
The team visited the Mantrac Nigeria CAT yard in Lagos, where two 1.1 megawatts gas engine power plant generators are currently under construction.
The Capacity Development Initiative is designed to strengthen the Board’s capacity to deliver reliable power to the Nigerian Oil and Gas Park Scheme (NOGAPS) located in Odukpani.
The NCDMB delegation was led by the General Manager, Strategy and Transformation Projects, Amanda Yekorogha. Other members of the delegation included Tom Mewase, Project Manager for the Conference Hotel Project; Kamselem Mohammed, Manager, Facility; and Joseph Adebayo, Manager, Zonal Coordination.
Additional members of the team were Zuwarait Asekome, Teleola Oyeleke and Boma Torty.
The inspection visit forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure the timely delivery of critical infrastructure required to power the industrial activities within the NOGAPS facility. When completed, the generators are expected to provide stable electricity supply to support operations within the oil and gas park and enhance industrial development in the region.
