The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a world-class hospitality and conference facility in Yenagoa by December 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen critical infrastructure for Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, gave this assurance on Friday while hosting stakeholders from Edison Properties and Megastar Technical and Construction Company during a one-day project management tour and workshop held at the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa.
Ogbe emphasised the importance of completing and commissioning the project on schedule, noting that the facility is pivotal to unlocking economic opportunities and boosting activities across the oil and gas value chain.
He explained that the proposed Radisson Conference Hotel Yenagoa, designed to meet international five-star standards, will serve as a strategic hub for industry conferences, investor engagements, and high-level business meetings. According to him, the project is expected to significantly enhance economic activities in Bayelsa State, the Niger Delta region, and the country at large.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of Edison Hotel and Properties, Mr. Reddy Vathasallum, assured stakeholders of timely project delivery in line with global standards and best practices.
The workshop featured presentations on the project’s progress and hotel management strategies by representatives of Radisson Hotel Group. It concluded with an inspection tour of the facility.
