The newly appointed Executive Secretary/CEO of Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Mr. Akutah Pius Ukeyima on Wednesday officially assumed duty at the Council’s headquarters in Lagos.
The new Shippers Council boss who was received by management and members of staff, explained that he would hit the ground running as there was no time for any delay and therefore sought the support and cooperation of everyone.
He assured all of his readiness to work as a team for the realisation of the Council’s mandate within the context of Marine and Blue Economy.
Ukeyima said Shippers’ Council has a key role to play in ensuring the success of the agenda of President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola on harnessing Nigeria’s rich marine and blue economic potential.
