Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) played an active role on Day One of the 2026 Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES), contributing to high-level discussions on regional energy integration through a presentation by Austin Ogbogbo titled “Pipelines, Power & Peace: Unifying Africa’s Energy Diplomacy.”
The session highlighted the importance of strategic cross-border gas and oil infrastructure in enhancing energy security across Africa, reducing reliance on imports and strengthening cooperation among nations.
It also examined how integrated infrastructure and harmonised policies could unlock shared value, stimulate investments and drive sustainable economic growth.
Central to the discussions was the prospect of a Nigeria-led One Africa Gas Corridor Initiative, designed to align policies, mobilise joint investments and promote collaboration toward building a unified continental energy ecosystem that supports long-term growth and stability.
NLNG reaffirmed its commitment to initiatives that advance regional energy integration, while continuing to position natural gas as a catalyst for industrialisation, regional cooperation and peace.
The company further underscored the role of gas in supporting Africa’s clean energy transition, sustainability objectives and global energy relevance.
