
As part of the Train 7 project, Nigeria LNG (NLNG) is constructing third jetty to support small-scale LNG supply across Africa.
Speaking at the ongoing NIES 2025, the NLNG Managing Director/ Chief Execitive Officer, Dr Philip Mshelbila reiterated NLNG’s commitment to boosting both domestic and regional energy access, noting that the company is fully domesticating its LPG supply to enhance local energy availability.
He also emphasized the company’s support for the Bonny Island-Mainland connection to facilitate LPG trucking and improve domestic gas distribution.
He further stressed that clear and consistent regulatory frameworks, low-carbon innovation, and local content development are critical to attracting long-term energy investments.
He emphasized that energy security must be a national priority, stressing the urgent need to protect gas infrastructure and drive sustainable growth.
He remarked that while progress has been made in securing oil assets, gas infrastructure remains vulnerable, and without adequate protection, the industry will continue to underperform.
He affirmed that NLNG remains committed to sustainability and energy security, positioning itself as a key driver of Nigeria’s energy future.
