Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Welcomes Inaugural Direct Flight From Algiers

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Sunday, April 6th, 2025,welcomed the inaugural direct flight from Algiers, operated by Air Algérie.
The Boeing 737 (registration: 7T-VJR) landed at 16:05HRS, with dignitaries from the Nigerian Embassy in Algiers and the Algerian government on board.
The flight was received by Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana mni, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation, along with other key officials, including His Excellency, Mezoued Hosine, Algerian Ambassador to Nigeria, and Alhaji Gambo Aboki, Regional General Manager (North), FAAN.
A statement issued by FAAN explained that
Air Algérie will operate direct flights to Abuja twice weekly.
