NPA to sustain quarterly forum with stakeholders as board reviews committee’s report on infrastructure in December

    The Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman has reiterated her commitment to sustain ongoing meetings with workers and other stakeholders on a quarterly basis.

  Addressing stakeholders at Onne Port Complex on Monday, Bala Usman said welfare will be given adequate priority as part of measures to boost productivity.

 Represented by the Executive Director in charge of Marine and Operations, Sokonte Davies, Bala Usman advised all stakeholders to key into the ease of doing business initiative, adding that management has resolved to create a comfortable business environment for all stakeholders at the nation’s seaport.

  According to the NPA boss, it is imperative for all agencies to board vessels at the same time as part of measures to facilitate ease of doing business.

  Emphasising need to create an attractive port environment, Bala Usman who was also at Rivers Port Complex  said all request from stakeholders especially workers will be given prompt attention..

 Meanwhile, NPA Board is to meet next month to deliberate on the report of Port Infrastructure Assessment Committee.

  The Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services, Prof Idris Abubakar who disclosed this during the Rivers Port Forum explained that the outcome of the meeting will determine the next step.
