NSC Lauds Maritime Police Command

The  Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC),  Hassan Bello, has commended the Maritime Police Command for the pivotal role they have played for the agency in the area of enforcement.

 Bello, who was represented by the Deputy Director, Monitoring & Enforcement Division of the Council, Mrs. C.A Ifeora, gave the commendation in her goodwill message at a workshop organized for men and officers of the Maritime Police in Apapa, Lagos.

According to her, the support NSC has received from the police has started yielding positive results.

“Nigerian Shippers’ Council and Maritime Police Command over the years had an excellent working relation. We always call on them on enforcement matters and their interventions have yielded positive results for us as Port Economic Regulator”, she added.

The Assistant Inspector General, Maritime Police Command, AIG Muhammad Ubakura, expressed his profound appreciation to the Management of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council who has reiterated the need to empower the officers and men of the Command.

AIG Ubakura, who was represented at the programme by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP FayoadeAdegoke, urged all the officers of the Command to be friendly, trustworthy and transparent while carrying out their official duties.
