The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has reaffirmed its commitment to staff welfare, career progression and professional development as part of efforts to strengthen the Bureau’s safety investigation capacity.
City Business News reports that the assurance was given by the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the NSIB, Capt. Alex Badeh Jnr., during a town hall meeting with staff of the Bureau.
The meeting provided an open platform for employees to raise concerns, seek clarification and engage directly with Management on issues affecting their welfare and career development.
Badeh addressed key issues, including staff welfare, salary increments, implementation of the new salary structure, career progression and professional development.
He reaffirmed Management’s commitment to ensuring that promotions are conducted in line with established rules, merit and due process, while providing clarity on the criteria guiding career advancement within the Bureau.
The NSIB chief also encouraged employees to embrace continuous learning, professional certifications and skills development.
He noted that the effectiveness of the Bureau’s safety investigation mandate depends largely on the knowledge, competence and professional capacity of its personnel.
The town hall meeting underscored the Management’s commitment to maintaining open communication with staff and creating an environment that supports both employee development and the effective delivery of the NSIB’s mandate.
