The management of NLNG Shipping and Marine Services limited (NSML), a subsidiary of Nigeria LNG Limited, has honoured staff and key stakeholders for their immense contributions to the growth of the company in 2024.
Speaking at the Performance Recognition Awards ceremony, held on Friday night at Bonny Island, Rivers State, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, NSML, Abdulkadir Ahmed, describe 2024 as an outstanding year for the company.
At the colourful ceremony, John Adaba, a Pilot (Juiet-1) with the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) emerged at the best NPA pilot in NLNG operations for the year 2024.
Other nominees were Vincent Oyakhilome (Pilot Victor1), Albert Ovat Ejukwa (Pilot Victor) and Dickson Otutubuike (Pilot Delta).
MV CTOW Eli emerged Vessel with highest contributions to promotions of workplace safety.
City Business News reports that the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) received NSML training partner award for the year 2024.
Also, a staff of NSML, Kayode Oluwole received defensive driving and safety award while Edward Banigo of C&I Leasing was honoured with the Marine defensive safety award.

Terminal safety Man of the year (Marine) safety award was received by Fabian Idigo of NSML while the most supportive and efficient Shipping agency award was received by West Atlantic Ports Services Limited, among others.
The company also used the opportunity to thank Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Security agencies, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Nigeria Immigration Service, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), among others.
Speaking at the event, NSML MD, Abdulkadir Ahmed said the focus of the company is to be safe, reliable and add value.
He explained that over the last five years, “We have doubled our capacity and expanded our operations“.
He added: “It is our expectation that this year (2025), we will continue to expand in terms of assets under management and what we do. We are also a service provider when it comes to training“.
