The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated Otunba Dele Kelvin Oye on his inauguration as President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

The governor, in a statement, urged Oye to deploy his wealth of experience and Midas touch to impact the organised private sector and the nation’s business community, placing the country on the path of sustainable socio-economic growth and prosperity.

Obaseki noted: “I heartily congratulate you, Otunba Dele Kelvin Oye Esq., on your inauguration as President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), which prides itself as ‘the voice of the Nigerian business.’

“Otunba Oye, whose mother hails from Benin City, has continued to distinguish himself, building a reputation for excellence in the world of commerce and business with a trac record that has set him apart from the crowd; true to type of a man with Edo heritage.

“From his stint as the Chairman of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) between 2008 and 2011 and the National Deputy President of NACCIMA and Chairman of the Nigeria-Turkey Business Council (NTBC), he has continued to deploy his over 33 years’ experience as a first-class lawyer and astute entrepreneur in advocating the interests of Nigerian businesses both locally and internationally.”

According to the governor, “Oye is coming to the saddle of NACCIMA’s Presidency at a time the nation’s economy is gasping for breath and in dire need of leaders with the exceptional skills, strategic vision and unshakable drive to navigate the choppy waters of economic instability and steer the business landscape on the path of growth and prosperity.”

He added, “While the task ahead is daunting, I have no doubt that you will leverage your skills and wealth of experience in charting a new course for the next phase of growth for NACCIMA and advance the interests of Nigerian businesses and contribute to our nation’s economic growth and development.”
