Edo State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpepholo, has appointed Augusta Ikpea-Enaholo as the Director-General of the Edo State Health Insurance Commission (EDHIC).
Ikpea-Enaholo has held key positions in public and private sectors, including serving as Principal Legal Officer at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA); Executive Director at Lee Engineering and Construction Company; and Chief Executive Officer at Royal Oaks Limited.
She holds an LLB from the University of Kent, an LLM from the University of Bristol, and a Doctorate in Maritime Law from the International Maritime Law Institute, Malta.
She is also a member of several prestigious professional bodies, including the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association..
Speaking on her appointment, Ikpea-Enaholo expressed her commitment to driving sustainable growth and innovation within the Commission.
She emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders and reiterated her vision of making EDHIC a model of excellence in healthcare service delivery in the comity of states.
Under her leadership, the Commission aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in healthcare administration, ensuring that residents in Edo State benefit from quality health services.
