Overland Airways Explains West Coast Expansion Agenda

Expansion of flight operations to West Coast will further increase passengers’ experience,  Overland Airways has said.
 The airline, which is set to commence operations from its base in Lagos, Nigeria to Cotonou, Republic of Benin and Lome, Togo Republic from August 12, 2018, has also assured that on-time performance and quality in-flight services would continue to be its watchword.
Mrs. Aanu Benson, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Overland Airways in a chat with Journalists in Lagos explained that  the routes would give traveler more choices, adding that it would also introduce its premium services on the routes.
Benson observed further that one of the most important missing factors facing sustainable economic transformation in the sub-region was smooth interconnectivity, which Overland hoped to address with its commencement of the routes.
She said: “The West African region has approximately 400 million people with lots of untapped potential and Nigeria can take some of these opportunities. The commencement of the routes is part of our efforts to foster economic cooperation in the region. Overland Airways is the longest serving airline and the most consistent carrier in the country despite the challenges in the environment.
“We believe that the sky is wide enough for as many airlines as possible to operate in the West Coast. The more airlines we have, the better for the passengers. At Overland Airways, we are offering our passengers safe, reliable and comfortable services. We take on-time performance very seriously at Overland Airways. On-time performance is the key to success by any airline around the world.”
The Lagos-Cotonou-Lome flights would operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays. The flight would depart Lagos at 19:00, arrive Cotonou t 19:25 and depart Cotonou at 20:00 to arrive Lome at 20:30. Also, flights would depart Lome at 21:00 to arrive Lagos at 21:45.
Benson said that the commencement of regional scheduled flight services marked the take-off of Overland Airways’ drive to participate actively in regional socio-economic activities and integration.
She assured that over the coming years, Overland Airways would facilitate a new environment for business, leisure travellers, families, students and more essentially bolster that boding among the people and groups in the region.
