Italian tyre major, Pirelli has drawn up a plan to double its distribution network to 1,200 by the end of next year in India.
The company, known for premium and prestige tyre range, majorly caters to cars and motorcycle segments.
It entered the mass segment with the launch of two tyres P7 Evo and Scorpion MTR for the car and SUV segment respectively at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020.
Commercial Director, Akash Singh Rathore, said on Friday:”We were majorly selling 17 inch and above but the actual volume is between 14, 15 and 16 inch. Now that we have entered the mass segment, we expect our dealer base to reach 1,200 from 600 by the end of 2021.”
