The Board of Directors of Presco Plc has approved the appointment of the law firm of Abdulai, Taiwo & Co as Acting Company Secretary/General Counsel effective 1st July 2024.
In a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), its shareholders and other stakeholders Presco Plc explained that the law firm of Abdulai, Taiwo & Co. will assume the role of Acting Company Secretary/General Counsel of the Company until a substantive Company Secretary/General Counsel is appointed.
The statement explained that the appointment follows the retirement of the erstwhile Company Secretary, Mr Patrick Uwadia.
City Business News report that the Board thanked Mr Uwadia for his years of dedicated service to the Company and wished him well in his future endeavours.
According to the statement, Abdulai, Taiwo & Co. is a prominent full-service corporate and commercial law firm based in Nigeria.
The notice signed by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Presco Plc, Regi George, explained that in the role of Acting Company Secretary/General Counsel, the firm will guide the Company and the Board to ensure consistent compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
“The Board is confident that Abdulai, Taiwo & Co., acting as Company Secretary/General Counsel, will lead the Company to achieve improved and sustainable compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements”, the notice added..
