PTML Customs Revenue Hits ₦424.5b As COWA Donate Food Items To Women, Children

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command, has recorded a total revenue collection of ₦424.58 billion as of Friday, December 12, 2025.
The Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Joe Anani, disclosed this figure while speaking at the 2025 end-of-year party organised by the Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), PTML Chapter.
He noted that the revenue performance reflects strong prospects for even greater returns with the full implementation of the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), also known as B’Odogwu.
According to Comptroller Anani, the command has already exceeded its total revenue collection for 2024, which stood at ₦362.5 billion, by more than ₦62 billion, even before the end of the year.
Describing 2025 as an eventful and successful year for the PTML Command, Anani attributed the achievements to the leadership and strategic direction of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, PhD. He also revealed that the command is working towards achieving a one-hour cargo clearance time for compliant Roll-On Roll-Off (RoRo) cargoes by 2026.
On anti-smuggling operations, the Area Controller highlighted the command’s successes in preventing the importation of illicit and expired drugs, arms and ammunition, and other prohibited items capable of endangering the lives of Nigerians. He particularly commended the seizure of cocaine valued at ₦29.4 billion, which was handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), describing it as a major milestone in the command’s anti-smuggling efforts.
Anani attributed the command’s overall achievements to the strong support received from both government and private sector stakeholders.
He specifically thanked the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and other sister agencies for their continued collaboration.
Also speaking at the event, the Chairperson of COWA, PTML Chapter, Mrs Caroline Ifeoluwa Anani, described the end-of-year party as a reflection of the command’s enduring tradition of unity and togetherness.
