Citing blockade imposed on Doha by four Arab states, Qatar Airways has suspended plans to add new destinations in Africa.
The National Carrier in a tweet said: “Due to the unjust blockade against Qatar, we had to suspend some planned new destinations especially in West and Central Africa.’’
In June 2017, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt severed diplomatic, transportation and economic links with Qatar, accusing it of supporting and funding terrorists, a charge that Doha denies.
