Skyway Aviation Handling Company PLC (SAHCO) has hosted the Aviation Security (AVSEC) Department of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL) for a practical tour of its cargo handling facilities as part of BASL’s mail security training programme.
The BASL AVSEC team was received by Bamaiyi Gumut, Head of Security, SAHCO PLC, who led the participants on a tour of the company’s Customs Bonded Export Warehouse.
During the practical session, Gumut provided insights into SAHCO’s cargo handling procedures, export processes and security screening requirements, giving the visiting AVSEC personnel first-hand knowledge of the robust measures deployed in the screening and handling of export cargo.
City Business News reports that engagement provided an opportunity for knowledge sharing and practical learning, while highlighting the importance of effective security procedures in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of cargo within the aviation sector.
