SAHCO Seeks Stronger Nigeria-UAE Trade, Aviation Partnerships

Skyway Aviation Handling Company Plc (SAHCO) has expressed its readiness to deepen trade facilitation between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) while pursuing strategic partnerships with leading Middle East airlines to boost passenger traffic, cargo movement and e-commerce activities between both countries.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of SAHCO, Mrs. Adenike Aboderin, made this known while receiving a UAE delegation led by the Head of Mission to Nigeria, H)) Salem Saeed Al-Shamsi.
Speaking on behalf of the Chairman of SAHCO, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi (CON), Aboderin reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening bilateral trade relations, enhancing passenger and cargo handling services, facilitating trade and supporting e-commerce growth through strategic collaborations.
According to a statement issued by the Head of Corporate Communications, SAHCO, Adetola Vanessa Uansohia, Aboderin noted that the company possesses the operational capacity, modern infrastructure and technical expertise required to support increased passenger and cargo volumes as well as the growing demand for e-commerce logistics.
She said SAHCO remains strategically positioned to facilitate trade between Nigeria and the UAE through efficient passenger, baggage and cargo handling services backed by a strong commitment to operational excellence.
“We are strategically positioned to support trade facilitation between Nigeria and the UAE through efficient passenger handling, baggage handling, cargo handling services, modern infrastructure and a strong commitment to operational excellence. We are open to collaborations that will strengthen connectivity and create value for businesses in both countries,” she stated.
Aboderin further stressed that SAHCO is open to partnerships with UAE-based airlines and other aviation stakeholders, noting that stronger cooperation between industry players in both countries would help expand trade volumes, improve supply chain efficiency and support economic diversification efforts.
In his remarks, the UAE delegation leader, Salem Saeed Al-Shamsi, expressed interest in understanding SAHCO’s operational capabilities and exploring opportunities for deeper cooperation in passenger, baggage and cargo handling as well as trade facilitation.
He also assured that the UAE Embassy in Nigeria would continue to serve as a bridge for fostering stronger commercial and business relationships between organisations in both countries.
