Smartflow Technologies, the foremost provider of automation services to Nigeria’s downstream oil and gas sector, has marked its tenth year anniversary.
At the annual Oil Trading and Logistics (OTL) Africa Downstream Week, the continent’s leading oil and gas exhibition, Smartflow technology demonstrated how its suit of products and services have grown in the last 10 years, and why it remains the favorite amongst industry players.
Founded by Dolapo Adeyeye in 2009, Smartflow has risen to become the silent force behind many oil and has players and large consumers of petroluem products; their suit of services not only help fuel stations remotely monitor activities on the forecourt and in storage facilities, they also help avition oil marketers, farms, and manufacturing plants to get value for their money.
Part sponsors of the OTL Africa Conference which held on 28 – 30 October 2019 at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos with over 3000 delegates, speakers, exhibitors and special guests; Smartfow has grown from humble beginnings to having offices in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano.
Speaking with journalists at the OTL expo, Dolapo Adeyeye said “All of our products are inspired by the commitment to provide accurate solutions to real customer needs. Everything we do at Smartflow Technologies is done with the mindset of solving a problem or fixing a difficult situation. So when we listen to our customers and hear some of the challenges they face, we on our own part have to analyze, understand and create a product that will solve it, which is where we get our inspiration from.”
Mr Adeyeye who started Smartflow as a response to a gap he spotted whilst he was working with Bristow, says his vision was to help his clients explore better ways of working in the oil and gas sector and to make the downstream sector much more digital in the way it operates, and to provide players in the sector with a lot more information and data at their fingertips using technology.
Smartflow manufactures locally in their Lagos office, and is partnered with several OEMs in the oil and gas industry including Gilberco Vedeeroot, Nivelco, GIR France, Graco, Wolftank amongst others. The company’s clients include Berger, Cadbury, Dangote, Conoil, Total, Exon Mobil, Forte, Nigerian Breweries, Okomu oil palm among others.
Smartflow’s solutions include forecourt automation, flow level monitoring solutions, tank services and aviation fuel management solutions. The company says it has implemented over 300 projects with a reported $7m saving for its clients
