The Executive Secretary and Project Manager of the agency, Alhaji Umar Alkammawa, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto on Sunday.

Alkammawa said that the state usually mark the day with rallies, sensitisation lectures, discussion programmes in radio and television stations and musical fiesta, among others.

He explained that the activities were designed to sensitise the people about HIV and AIDS, mode of infection, prevention, treatment care and support, as well as show love to people living with the virus.

He, however, said that the 2020 activities would be restricted to testing services and media engagements like press conferences and call-in radio and television programme in all media houses.
