Tinubu Appoints Minister For Niger Delta, Redeploys Oyetola To Marine & Blue Economy

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the redeployment of Abubakar Momoh from the Federal Ministry of Youth to the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Development.

In a statement on Sunday, Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale explained that Tinubu will announce a Minister-Designate assigned to the Federal Ministry of Youth soon.

Ngelale said the Ministers-Designate allocated to the Federal Ministries of Transportation, Interior, and Marine & Blue Economy has been reshuffled.

Under the arrangement, former Osun State governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has been redeployed as the Minister of Marine & Blue Economy. Oyetola was initially assigned to the Ministry of Transportation.

Tinubu also redeployed Bunmi Tunji-Ojo as the Honourable Minister of Interior while Sa’idu Alkali is redeployed as the Minister of Transportation.

Ministers of State in the Oil & Gas sector are now domiciled in the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources with the following designations;

Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri was named the Hon. Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources.

Ekperipe Ekpo is the Hon. Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources

Tinubu also approved the renaming of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management as the Federal Ministry of Environment.
