Tinubu Begins Three-Week Annual Leave

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Sunday for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.
The President’s first stop will be London, United Kingdom, where he is expected to spend part of the period on a working vacation.
According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the three-week break.
The President’s return will coincide with preparations for the January 2027 election, as he is expected to join the campaign activities ahead of the poll.
Onanuga said the vacation forms part of the President’s annual leave.
The statement was dated August 30, 2026.
