President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to Prince Samuel Adedoyin, renowned industrialist, philanthropist, and founder of the Doyin Group of Companies, as he marks his 90th birthday.
In a heartfelt message on Thursday, President Tinubu described Prince Adedoyin as “an extraordinary industrialist, philanthropist, and a national icon whose decades of footprints in Nigeria’s manufacturing sector stand as a testament to vision, discipline, and generosity.”
The President praised Baba Adedoyin’s unwavering commitment to national development, noting that through determination, entrepreneurial brilliance, and integrity, he built business enterprises that have expanded economic opportunities and empowered countless Nigerians.
“Baba Adedoyin stands as one of Nigeria’s finest examples of industry, resilience, and patriotic commitment,” President Tinubu said. “His life’s journey remains a shining testament to what is possible through faith, hard work, and an unwavering belief in the promise of our country.”
Beyond his business achievements, the President highlighted the nonagenarian’s compassion and philanthropic impact, particularly his support for the vulnerable, investment in education, and contributions to community development.
He also celebrated Prince Adedoyin’s inspiring Lagos success story—arriving in the state as a teenager from Agbamu in Kwara State and rising to become a respected pillar of Lagos’ economic and social landscape over seven decades, without losing touch with his roots.
