Tinubu Visits Borno, Bauchi, Lagos

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Saturday depart Abuja on a multi-state visit to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos States.
During his visit to Borno State, the President is expected to commission a number of projects executed by the Borno State Government under Governor Babagana Zulum, as well as initiatives undertaken by the Federal Government. City Business News reports that the visit underscores the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development and post-conflict recovery in the North-East.
While in Maiduguri, President Tinubu will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Borno, the President will proceed to Bauchi State to commiserate with the Bauchi State Government and the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the respected Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27. The condolence visit reflects the President’s recognition of the cleric’s spiritual influence and contributions to Islamic scholarship in Nigeria.
Following the Bauchi visit, President Tinubu will travel to Lagos, where he will spend the end-of-year holidays. While in the state, he is expected to participate in several official and cultural engagements.
Notably, the President will serve as the Guest of Honour at the annual Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27 at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. The festival will celebrate and honour prominent personalities, including President Tinubu’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors Alhaji is Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
