At the ongoing 25th Abuja International Motor Fair, Toyota Nigeria Limited (TNL) is doing far more than filling its pavilion with vehicles.
The brand is using the event as an opportunity to reinforce the qualities that have kept it at the forefront of Nigeria’s automotive industry—reliability, customer commitment, and market dominance.
Already, Toyota’s pavilion has emerged as a major attraction for visitors seeking dependable mobility solutions backed by decades of trust in the brand.
Rather than relying solely on new model unveilings, Toyota is leveraging this year’s fair to reconnect with loyal customers while guiding prospective buyers through its proven vehicle lineup—from compact city-friendly models to rugged off-road flagships. The brand’s strategic approach is clearly focused on reaffirming why Toyota remains one of Nigeria’s most respected names in the automotive sector.
Among the visitors’ favourite displays is the all-new Urban Cruiser, a compact crossover SUV powered by a 1.5-litre engine and designed for modern urban mobility. Also drawing attention is the ever-reliable Toyota Corolla, equipped with a 1.8-litre engine and offered in both leather and fabric interior trims.
Other popular models include the RAV4 two-wheel-drive variant with leather seats, and the Camry luxury edition fitted with a 3.5-litre engine. The commercial segment is well-represented with the durable 16-seater Hiace bus, powered by a 2.7-litre engine.
Toyota also brought its rugged Hilux pickup to the fair, available with a 2.7-litre engine, alloy wheels, and both automatic and manual transmission options. The latest entrant into the Nigerian market—the new Land Cruiser Prado—is showcased in two trims: the 2.7-litre TX and the turbocharged 2.4-litre VX.
One of the top attractions is the legendary Land Cruiser VX, popularly called the “King of the Road,” now equipped with a 3.5-litre twin-turbo engine, sunroof, wireless charging, and reverse sensors. Complementing it is the Land Cruiser 300 GXR, featuring rear-seat entertainment, three-row seating with collapsible seats, and a V6 4.0-litre engine.
Speaking on Toyota’s participation, the company’s Unit Head, Advertisement and Public Relations, Mrs. Bukki Ogunnusi, said the pavilion is strategically positioned to assist both existing and potential customers with sales and after-sales inquiries. She noted that accredited Toyota dealers are fully on ground to provide personalized attention to visitors.
The 25th Abuja International Motor Fair was declared open on Tuesday, November 18, by Vice President Kashim Shettima, who was represented by the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN.
