Toyota Unveils Corolla Cross SUV

Toyota Motor has launched the new Corolla Cross Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in Thailand, which is based on the Japanese automaker’s popular sedan.

The automaker is expected to launch the Corolla Cross in other markets in the near future.
 Corolla Cross SUV comes with both petrol and hybrid powertrain options. The SUV is available in four variants 
Toyota Corolla Cross boast of a 1.8-litre petrol engine with fourth-generation hybrid powertrain technology.
Built on the carmaker’s TNGA platform, the Toyota Corolla Cross comes with a look, similar to the RAV4. It gets LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights etc.
The Corolla sedan is claimed to be the bestselling Toyota car across the world, launched in 1966. The sedan has sold more than 48 million units so far in 150 countries across the world since the introduction.
Commenting on the new Toyota Corolla Cross, Daizo Kameyama, Chief Engineer in charge of development, Toyota Motor Corp, said, “Now that the Corolla Cross has newly joined the Corolla family, we sincerely hope that our customers will warmly welcome the vehicle to become part of their families: just like their partners, siblings or even friends.
