Audi Delivers 145,400 Units In September

German luxury carmaker Audi AG’s global delivery in September was 145,400 units, up 4.5 per cent compared to the same month last year, when it registered 139,150 units.

Cumulatively, Audi AG has delivered 1,357,100 units during January-September 2019 period, down 3.6 per cent compared to the same period last year, when it recorded 1,407,672 units.

As the luxury carmaker claims, deliveries in the European market have increased by 33.1 per cent with 49,550 units in September 2019, compared to 37,209 units sold in the same month last year.

However, YoY sales in North America and China has slumped by 13.8 per cent and 3.3 per cent respectively.

Hildegard Wortmann, Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at Audi AG, said, “With our extensive model range we consistently meet our customers’ wishes and demonstrate our brand’s charisma. Other new models such as the Q3 Sportback are due to be launched by the end of the year, which will further strengthen and rejuvenate our product portfolio. This prospect gives us a positive outlook for the last quarter of 2019.”

In China, one of the major markets for the automaker, Audi delivered 491,100 units in the first nine months of 2019, up 1.7 per cent compared to 483,001 units delivered in the same period last year.

In September, the company sold 63,593 units in China.
