Motorists plying the Zaria–Kaduna Expressway have been urged to exercise extreme caution following reports that a bridge near the Jaji area has given way, creating a hazardous section of the road.
Road users said the damaged portion of the bridge has already caused several vehicles to crash after their tyres were punctured by the sharp and broken sections of the structure.
The development has raised safety concerns among commuters who regularly use the busy expressway connecting Zaria and Kaduna.
Motorists travelling along the route have therefore been advised to slow down and drive carefully while approaching the affected area to avoid accidents.
Members of the public have also been encouraged to share the information widely to alert other road users and help prevent further incidents on the expressway.
