AN officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has arrested a suspect over alleged attempt to traffic $271.14m (N54.35bn) through the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja.
In a statement, the FAAN Deputy General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Onyekwere Nnaekpe, said FAAN official apprehended the suspect during a pat down at one of the screening points at ‘D’ Finger of the international terminal.
He explained that the suspect was trying to convey the foreign currency to an accomplice at an area of the terminal.
