THE Federal Government has unveiled Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Port Services Support Portal (PSSP) for Nigerian Ports.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who performed the ceremony recently explained that the concept put together by the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) is significant to the development of the national economy.
The Vice President explained that the initiatives will drive economic growth and lead to more efficient port administration and ease of doing business in the country.
According to him, improved procedure in the ports was necessary, pointing out that it will make trade easy in the country.
In his submission, the Executive Secretary of Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Hassan Bello said the focus was to boost efficiency at the nation’s seaports.
