
The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed and the management team on Monday held a valedictory meeting in honour of Hyginus Omeje, Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of Operations, as he formally bowed out of active service.
The gathering provided an opportunity for reflection and appreciation of Omeje’s distinguished career, which colleagues described as one marked by discipline, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to safer roads across Nigeria.
During the event, members of the Corps’ management and senior officers paid tribute to the retiring Deputy Corps Marshal, acknowledging the strategic leadership and operational excellence he brought to the organisation’s mandate of protecting lives on the nation’s highways.
Speakers at the meeting highlighted his contributions to strengthening operational structures and enhancing enforcement activities within the Corps, noting that his leadership played a significant role in advancing the goals of the FRSC in road safety administration.
As he took his final salute from the Corps, Omeje was commended for a career defined by dedication, courage, and impactful service that helped build the operational capacity of the FRSC while inspiring a new generation of officers.
The management of the FRSC expressed confidence that the values of integrity, diligence, and service exemplified by the retiring officer would continue to guide the organisation.
