The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, transparency, and professionalism as the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, formally recognised and rewarded outstanding personnel for exemplary service.
At a brief ceremony, the Corps Marshal presented commendation letters and cash rewards to selected officers and marshals whose conduct has consistently reflected the highest ideals of public service. The honourees, drawn from operational commands across the country, were celebrated not for isolated acts but for sustaining a culture of discipline, accountability, and professional excellence aligned with the Corps’ core values.
According to Mohammed, the initiative is part of a deliberate institutional framework aimed at motivating personnel, strengthening public trust, and reinforcing the Corps’ zero-tolerance stance on unethical conduct.
He stressed that integrity remains the cornerstone of effective law enforcement and public safety administration, noting that the FRSC will continue to identify, encourage, and reward behaviours that enhance the image of the Corps.
“This recognition is a celebration of who we are as an organisation and what we stand for,” he said.
The Corps Marshal further highlighted that thousands of FRSC officers and marshals carry out their responsibilities daily with honour, courage, and a deep sense of duty. He noted that the awards serve as a reminder that integrity is both expected and appreciated within the organisation.
He added that the initiative is designed not only to recognise excellence but also to inspire personnel to remain steadfast in upholding the values that define the Corps.
Mohammed also reaffirmed management’s commitment to providing the right environment, leadership, and incentives to sustain ethical conduct and operational excellence at all levels.
The gesture, he said, underscores the FRSC’s resolve to build a safer motoring environment while maintaining a workforce anchored on discipline, transparency, and service to humanity.
The statement was issued on Tuesday by Felicia Kalu, Corps Commander and Corps Public Education Officer.
