The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed and the Executive Commissioner of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, on Wednesday jointly inaugurated a Joint Task Force on the Enforcement of Third-Party Insurance and the Digitalization of Passenger Manifests.
According to FRSC, the initiative marks a major step toward enhancing safety, transparency, and accountability in Nigeria’s road transport system.
The partnership aims to ensure strict compliance with third-party insurance regulations and promote the digitalization of passenger manifests for improved safety and security.
By leveraging technology and strengthening inter-agency collaboration between FRSC and NAICOM, the joint effort is expected to drastically reduce the number of uninsured vehicles plying Nigerian roads while bolstering passenger protection and overall road safety nationwide.
