
The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved the redeployment of 162 senior officers.
A statement issued on Thursday by Agboola Olundegun, Assistant Corps Commander (ACC), Administration, Corps Public Education Office (CPEO) explained that the redeployment is aimed at strengthening operational efficiency and enhancing road safety efforts across the country.
He explained that the strategic restructuring includes the appointment of four new Zonal Commanding Officers as well as the redeployment of Sector Commanders to critical states and formations nationwide.
As part of the shake-up, the Corps Marshal also approved the appointment of a new Corps Public Education Officer, elevating Osondu Ohaeri, a Deputy Corps Commander (DCC) and former Deputy Corps Public Education Officer (DCPEO), to lead the Corps’ public communication strategy.
The affected states include the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Rivers, Kaduna, Bauchi, Imo, Benue, Yobe, Ogun, Delta, Osun, Kogi, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom.
The newly appointed Zonal Commanding Officers are ACM C.Z. Mathew (RS5HQ Benin), ACM A.L.O. Ruk (RS9HQ Enugu), ACM B.S. Akande (RS10HQ Sokoto), and ACM Leye Adegboyega (RS12HQ Bauchi).
In the same vein, several Corps Commanders have been reassigned as Sector Commanders to strengthen field operations.
They include AP Longkam (Kaduna), O. Ogunjobi (Ogun), VA Kayode-Oni (Benue), PE Bedford (Edo), CE Edem (Delta), FA Ajatta (Rivers), FM Kalu (Akwa Ibom), SO Ordu (Bayelsa), and T. Iliyasu (FCT).
Others are KB Kazeem (Kwara), LL Fagge (Kogi), ON Okoro (Imo), ST Adebayo (Osun), SD Kehinde (Oyo), I Baba (Yobe), and CS Luka (Bauchi).
Mohammed noted that the postings were guided by competence, proven track records, and the demands of national service, adding that the Corps remains committed to deploying its best personnel where their impact would be most effective.
