Hyundai Motor India Ltd on Friday reported 24.89% increase in its car sales to 47,400 units in December 2020. The company had sold 37,953 units in December 2019.
S S Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “Hyundai has emerged stronger out of this crisis, leading the way for economic revival. This clearly reflected in our domestic sales that reached new horizons, with Hyundai managing to increase market share for the second year in succession.”
“We set a new record of highest production in a single month since inception with 71,178 units in December 2020,” he added.
Kim mentioned that Hyundai has also emerged as one of the most preferred brands for SUVs in the country with Creta and Venue leading the sales charts.
