Hyundai Motor has revealed the name of a new crossover Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), Bayon, which will be coming to the European market in the first half of 2021.
The new model will be an addition to the SUV line-up with an advanced design giving a touch competition to its rivals. Hyundai Bayon is inspired by the city of Bayonne in the southwest of France being primarily a European product.
“Hyundai is strongly established in the European SUV market already, in terms of our model range as well as our sales success,” says Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, Vice President of Marketing & Product. “By launching a new, additional B-segment model as the entry point into our SUV line-up, we see a great opportunity to cover European customers’ demand even better and to increase our offering in a highly popular segment.”
Bayon will be positioned in the B-segment, and will be the entry model in the Hyundai SUV line-up for Europe. More details will soon be revealed.
