Israel’s health ministry announced on Friday that all passengers entering Israeli borders would have to go through a mandatory quarantine.
The ministry said the new regulation would start from Friday.
It said that passengers arriving from the countries and regions defined by Israel as high-risk were required to take a seven-day quarantine.
The ministry added that passengers from other countries would need to be quarantined for up to 24 hours, adding that the passengers would wait for the results of the COVID-19 tests that had been conducted upon arrival.
The health ministry reported 868 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the total tally in the country to 849,190.
