For the Month of October 2019, Jaguar Land Rover recorded sales of 41,866 units, down by 5.5 per cent when compared to the same month last year.
A statement issued by the company on Monday explained that Year-on-Year sales in China increased by 16.2 per cent, which marked the fourth consecutive month of double-digit growth in the country.
Among other markets for the brand, UK registered 18.7 per cent dip, while sales in North America and Europe were down by 0.3 per cent and 7.9 per cent respectively.
As JLR claims, sales of its new Range Rover Evoque has gone up 31.4 per cent in October 2019. Jaguar I-Pace has registered a 9.1 per cent sales hike, while the updated Land Rover Discovery Sport too saw a 3.4 per cent YoY increase in sales.
The Land Rover retail sales in October 2019 were 31,260 units, up 2.4 per cent compared to the same month last year, while Jaguar reported 10,606 units of sales, up 22.9 per cent than October 2018.
Commenting on the sales performance, Felix Brautigam, Chief Commercial Officer, said, “The automotive trading environment remains challenging globally. Against this background, it is all the more encouraging to see our China turnaround strategy and work with the local retailer network generating positive results as sales have improved in China for the fourth consecutive month.”
