Newly appointed Director General of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Bashir Jamoh on Wednesday resumed after the official handing over ceremony.
Speaking after the handing over ceremony, Jamoh reiterated the agency’s Commitment to improve on the capacity of indigenous investors and professionals..
He said:“I must acknowledge the great strides we have made in the area of maritime safety, security, particularly the deep blue project and ensuring the enactment of the anti piracy law
“Our determination to enthrone a worthy Cabotage regime is legendary and so the regulatory activities which saw Nigeria emerging top in port and flag state control in West and Central Africa.” .
Jamoh commended his predecessor, Dakuku Peterside for many laudable achievements they achieved together in the last four years.
Peterside had earlier urged NIMASA staff to corporate with the new board and executive management team of the strategic Government Agency.
