No fewer than 150 foreign countries and 15 Nigeria states are expected to participate at the Kano 40th Trade Fair scheduled to begin December 30, 2019.
This was disclosed on Wednesday by the Acting President, Kano State Chamber of Commerce, Amb. Usman Hassan Drama, while briefing Journalists on the preparation.
Darma, who is the chamber’s Deputy President, said that “this year’s trade fair will witness participation of 150 countries in the world, including multinational companies, state governments and other government agencies.
“There will be many exhibitors for the first time in the history of the fair; they will have stands in a collapsible pavilion while 60 bathrooms and toilets are provided for the use of participants.”
He further explained that 500 International and National Companies are going to fully participate in the trade fair which has the theme, “Promoting Agricultural Values Chain for Nigeria Sustainable Economic Development”.
He also stated that for the first time the Nigerian Army would have a pavilion at the trade fair where it would display its agricultural produce, including its home-made tractor and fertilizer.
“In the same vein, the 40th Trade fair is going to witness series of seminars and workshops for both the participants and the visitors.
`They are going to be enlightened on the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and other possible educative programmes.
“We are having a Clinic at the fair not medical one but a clinic where people would be enlightened on what they seek to know,” he said.
Darma said that the coming trade fair would have a mobile court which would settle internal disputes, encroachment on the premises and other criminal activities while the programme lasted”.
The Acting President commended the Kano State Government, Dangote Group, BUA Group, NCC, NDIC, among others for their unrelenting support to the chamber.NAN
