The Automobile & Allied Sectoral Group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI has elected Mr Bambo Adebowale, to steer the ship of the group and take charge of its affairs for the next two years. This followed the expiration of the term of office of the previous executives of the group.
Director General, LCCI, Mr. Muda Yusuf, said ‘’we are very pleased as Mr Bambo Adebowale assumes the role of Chairman, LCCI Auto and Allied Group. His election will ensure and enhance the Chamber’s role as a leading advocate of best business practice and principles in the operations and regulation of the Automobile Industry.”
Yusuf also said, “Bambo has sector-based understanding of the fiscal and economic challenges in the auto industry, having being involved in the import duty tax and exemption deliberations. In addition, being the Head of Mitsubishi Corporation’s Business Department for Nigeria and Ghana, a qualified accountant and tax specialist, gives us confidence that he will deliver as he chairs the Auto group”.
Yusuf concluded by saying “Bambo is an accomplished manager, tested business leader and a trained trainer who has more than 25 years’ experience in Operations, Financial management and strategy and has had stints with GE, PwC and the UK Inland Revenue Service, and he has represented Mitsubishi Corporation on the platform of the LCCI Auto & Allied Sectoral group and has co-organised, or moderated the last 5 annual Auto symposiums, and he has what it takes to steer the group’s mandate for the next two years”.
