The Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has once again affirmed its leadership in public sector excellence, earning major honours at the 2025 Peak Performer Awards held at the Lagos Oriental Hotel.
It was a landmark night for the agency as its Executive Chairman, Mr. Ayodele Subair, featured on the cover of the 2025 edition of Peak Performer Magazine and received the coveted “Board Chair of the Year” Award.
The recognition celebrates his visionary leadership, strategic reforms, and outstanding achievements in strengthening revenue administration in Lagos State.
The award also highlights Mr. Subair’s commitment to performance excellence, digital transformation, and operational efficiency—initiatives that have positioned LIRS as a national model in revenue innovation and public financial management.
Under his stewardship, LIRS has implemented far-reaching reforms, deployed technology-driven operations, and enhanced service delivery, significantly contributing to Lagos State’s status as the benchmark for modern tax administration in Nigeria.
In addition to Mr. Subair’s recognition, LIRS was honoured as the “Peak Performing Revenue Agency,” reaffirming its dedication to transparent governance, continuous improvement, and progressive revenue practices that underpin Lagos State’s economic advancement.
