The global LNG community has turned its focus to Australia following the announcement that Brisbane will host the next edition of the LNG conference in 2029, as LNG2026 formally concluded in Doha, Qatar.
The announcement was made during the final day of LNG2026, which featured a high-level plenary session reflecting on the key insights and outcomes from a week of robust discussions on the future of liquefied natural gas.
The session was followed by the official closing and handover ceremony, symbolically passing the baton to the next host nation.
With LNG2029 confirmed for Brisbane, Australia is set to welcome global industry leaders, policymakers, investors and technical experts for another round of strategic engagement across the LNG value chain.
The upcoming conference is expected to build on the themes explored in Doha, including energy security, sustainability, market integration and the evolving role of LNG in the global energy transition.
